“Students of MBA need to bear in mind the three ‘C’s, Competition, Construction and Computerization. There’s tremendous scope for MBAs in the market today, however, mere degree is not enough, one must possess skills too” said Shri Shripati Hegade, DGM of Karnatak Vikas Grameen Bank. He was addressing students at Threshold 2015, the inauguration function of a fresh batch of MBA at Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global Business School (BETGBS), Belgaum, as the Chief Guest. The academic session for the fresh batch of MBA was inaugurated at BETGBS on 21st September 2015. Speaking as the Guest of Honor, Dr. D.H. Rao, Professor and Dean, R&D and Skill Development, S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology, Belgaum. He highlighted the importance of Attitude, Skills and Knowledge to be successful in life. Dr. Rao marked his point by quoting several examples in his speech. In his presidential remarks, Shri Vinod Doddanavar, Chairman, GC, BETGBS, urged the students to strive beyond the syllabus. He also spelled out the vision of BETGBS for skill development and urged the parents to play an important role in this journey. Dr. Govind Welling, Director, BETGBS, welcomed the gathering. Prof. Omkar Tilve proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Leena Hasabe of 3rd sem MBA compered the event. Parents of students also shared their feedback.
A large number of parents and fresh students, faculty, members of management, staff and students were present on the occasion. A week-long induction program has been planned at the institute to expose students to a plethora of experts to acclimatize them for management as a profession.
