BET GBS STUDENTS UNDERGO SPSS TRAINING IN MARKETING RESEARCH
As a part of marketing research the students of BET GBS underwent a 2 day rigorous training on SPSS in order to expose them to the practical application and use of the software for research data analysis.
Dr.Sachin Kamble, Assistant Professor, NITIE was the resource person. A plethora of 12 tests were demonstrated to the students along with its usage in real life situations. Students uploaded the software onto their systems and practiced the various tests by feeding in their project data.The purpose, steps , practical examples, interpretation of each test were demonstrated to the students .
Students were exposed to the various tests like chi-square, two sample t- test, discriminate analysis, regression, ANNOVA etc. Students understood the nuances of research along with comprehensive analysis of the data .Students reviewed their projects and clarified their objectives for the study linking them with the necessary tests that have to be done in order to generate reports . students were encouraged to use such research methodology and SPSS software for their Summer in-plant and Major Concurrent Projects .
