The Mass Drug Awareness Program was organized at BET Global Business School (BET GBS) to educate students and faculty about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a drug-free life. During the session resource person highlighted about the Lymphatic filariasis (LF) known as elephantiasis (Haatipaon), health issues which is transmitted through the bite of Culex mosquitoes which breed in dirty/polluted water as well as on the drug abuse and its bad effects on the health . The session was conducted by Dr. Manjunath K. Oulkar, a renowned expert in public health and addiction prevention. The event aimed to raise awareness about substance abuse, its consequences, and strategies to prevent addiction.
