Industry Visits are an integral part of the development process of the management students. At School of Management Studies, Industrial/Institutional visits are given utmost importance. Through these visits students gained industrial environment and learn the best practices. This gives an exposure to the corporate work culture.
Students of GBS visited Vijaykant Dairy and Food Products Ltd., on 26th February 2022. The manufacturing plant is situated near Neginhal village of Bailhongal taluka of Belagavi.
The students visited milk processing unit and understood the process of milk dairy right from collection of milk to testing of fat, pasteurization to packaging and distribution of dairy products. Students were exposed to manufacturing processes of other dairy products such as Shrikhand, Paneer, Lassi, and other sweet items of Aditya Food Products. They were informed about the capacity of plants, processing as per demand and seasonal changes in market etc.
The students also visited well developed Ice cream manufacturing plant of the company, where in the various flavors of candy ice creams, cup and cone ice creams are produced. The production manager briefed students on ice cream making process and about various machines used in the process. Manager from HR department interacted with students and enhanced their knowledge about the organization during our visit. The visit was fruitful as the students were exposed to the organizational environment and interacted with various executives.
The industrial visit was initiated by Dr. Padmapriya and coordinated by Mrs. Ranjana and Mr. Vaibhav, faculty members for the students MBA 1st and 2nd year.
