Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global Business School, observed World No Tobacco day on 31st May 2017

Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global Business School, Motichand Lengade Bharatesh Polytechnic, Bharatesh ITI and Bharatesh Homeopathic Medical College, in association with Indian Red Cross Society Belgaum observed World No Tobacco day on 31st May 2017. Prof. Uday Lawate, Director of BET’S GBS welcomed the gathering. Shri Ashok Badami, Ex Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Belgaum District at the inauguration ceremony highlighted upon the impact of consumption of tobacco and tobacco products. He expressed that consumption of tobacco effects the entire body system and results into many critical health issues like heart attacks, strokes, many forms of cancer and also makes a person blind.

There was a rally organized which commenced from Bharatesh Education Trust Campus to CBT. More than 200 students along with faculty members participated in the rally holding the placards creating awareness among the public upon the effects of tobacco consumption and used

Slogans such as Buy Tobacco and Get Cancer Free, Make every Day No Tobacco day and leave consumption of Tobacco and live healthy life.

MBA second sem students played a mime in the form of skit at Belagavi bus stand portraying the bad effects of tobacco consumption on the youth, family and ultimately on the society. They showcased in the play the role of youth in building healthy nation.

Shri Vikas Kalgatagi, Honarary secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Prof. Ranjana Upashi and Prof. Vikas Bhavi along with the students coordinated the programme.
