One day seminar on GST – Beginning of New Regime

One day seminar on GST was started with welcome song and watering the sapling by dignitaries like Shri Arvind B. Ghuge, honorable Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise who presided in the capacity of Chief Guest for the inaugural function, Shri K. Vijaya Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax, Shri Ashok Mudhol,  Assistant Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax, Shri Chetan Digal, Inspector, Shri Chetan Digal, were guests of honor, President of the function Mr. P. P. Doddanavar Chairman, BET, Shri Prashant Jedi, President of KBCCI, Mr. Rajeev Doddanavar, Secretary, BET, Mr. Vinod Doddanavar, Chairman GC-BETGBS, Prof. Uday Lawate and Dr. A. R. Rotti, seminar conveners, were present for the inauguration function.

The welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Uday Lawate, Director BETGBS, emphasizing the need of the seminar and the advantage of new tax regime. After the welcome speech Mrs. Swatee Jog introduced the dignitaries, delegates, invitees to the BET and also to the novel initiatives taken by the BET for promoting the culture of quality education in this part of the country. Mr. Prasad Daddikar honorable chief guest, Shri Arvind B. Ghuge to the gathering, Mrs. Swatee Jog introduced guests of honor and other dignitaries on the dais.

Dr. A. R. Rotti briefed about the seminar and also expressed the importance of seminar theme which is apt to the present generation and current business transformation scenario.

Shri Arvind B. Ghuge, in his address said, GST is going to be a game changer regime in the county and transparency will be raised to the higher level. He also mentioned the way world is moving ahead with one tax regime in order to initiate uniform business environment. He assured to set up & upgrade the existing infrastructure for GST which will benefit society at large scale.

Shri. Rajeev Doddanavar, in his presidential remarks said that one needs to be practical, technology savvy and skillful in life to adopt the new tax regime. He urged students to be flexible in adaptation of modern technology and acquire skills so that one can find employment in multiple sectors due to implementation of GST. He also highlighted the role of Business community in realization of new tax system for hassle free implementation.

Mr. Prasad Daddikar proposed the vote of thanks and wished the delegates & students to take home rich experience of learning from the technical sessions of seminar. Mrs. Swatee Jog anchored the inauguration function.
