Job Description

The Telehealth Nurse provides telephonic and electronic support to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers for prescription and specialty medications. Responsibilities include patient outreach, adherence support, clinical data collection, compliance with regulatory programs, and coordination of follow-up services.



Key Responsibilities

Provide telephonic/electronic support using behavior modification and motivational interviewing to drive medication adherence

Collect and document patient-specific clinical information

Ensure compliance with regulatory, program, and service line requirements

Identify risks, concerns, and stakeholder needs and escalate appropriately

Follow up with patients and physicians to support compliance and therapy persistence

Maintain active nursing licensure (LPN or RN)



Minimum Qualifications

Education & Licensure

Vocational/technical nursing training required

Active RN or LPN license (must be maintained throughout employment)

Experience

2+ years in healthcare, physician office, telehealth, or lab environment

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication (verbal & written)

High attention to detail; accurate data entry and documentation

Ability to navigate multiple online systems simultaneously

Ability to interpret safety rules, procedures, and clinical instructions

Strong computer skills: Microsoft Suite, typing, documentation

Ability to troubleshoot issues and independently resolve problems

Experience supporting patients with complex needs

Ability to identify adverse events and product complaints

Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment



Working Conditions

Fully Remote / Work-From-Home

Must maintain HIPAA-compliant environment

May require sitting/standing 7 10 hours/day

Extended hours possible

Headset may be required for prolonged periods
