Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Solar Installer II with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in residential solar installation. This role is ideal for someone who has solid technical knowledge, works well on a team, and is ready to take the next step in their solar career.
Key Responsibilities:
Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential rooftops.
Ensure installations meet SunStar’s standards, safety codes, and manufacturer specifications.
Conduct pre-installation job site inspections and assessments.
Assist in loading/unloading materials and staging job sites.
Collaborate with electricians and other team members for seamless system integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in the field.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations and project details.
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and SunStar safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of solar installation experience required
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general construction practices
Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
NABCEP certification is a plus but not required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
10-20% travel within the state of Texas
