Salary Range: $1,000 - $1,500 Usd per month - Based on Experience

 

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support our finance operations. This role will manage project-based accounting in QuickBooks Online, oversee payroll checking, and handle client/supplier communications as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, holds a formal accounting qualification, and is proficient in U.S. accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-based accounting in QuickBooks Online .
• Process invoices daily using Bill.com (2–3 hours per day).
• Analyze income statements, prepare journal entries, and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare pay applications (requires strong accounting background).
• Administer payroll through iSolved software.
• Maintain and analyze financial data in Excel , including advanced functions and reporting.
• Conduct accounting analysis to support management decisions and financial reporting.
• Handle occasional client/supplier communications (e.g., lien waivers, invoice inquiries).
• Collaborate using Slack and Asana for project/task management.
• Participate in regular video calls (2–4 times weekly, 1–2 hours each) via Google Meet.

Must Haves

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven accounting experience, ideally with project-based accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (including advanced functions).
• Experience with payroll systems (preferably iSolved ).
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Good to Have

• CPA or equivalent accounting certification.
• Prior experience with U.S.-based companies .
• Familiarity with Bill.com for invoice processing.
• Exposure to Slack and Asana for project management.
• Experience preparing pay applications in a project-driven environment.
• Comfort with occasional client/supplier communications.
