Experienced Coffee Barista & Waiter – Weekend Mornings
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $11.00/ hr + tips
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (approx. 25 hours/week)

Flora, a Michelin-recognized Italian restaurant and espresso bar in Brooklyn, is seeking a skilled and reliable Barista/Waiter to join our weekend morning team. The ideal candidate has strong experience behind the espresso machine, understands the rhythm of Italian breakfast service, and takes pride in creating an exceptional coffee and guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of barista experience in quality coffee bars or restaurants.
• Perfect command of Italian-style espresso preparation — espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, americano, cortado, latte — consistently excellent in texture, temperature, and presentation.
• Ability to manage table service with warmth and efficiency.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
• Punctual, professional, and comfortable working in a morning environment.
• Knowledge of pastries, food service, and POS systems.
• NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Open the bar area and ensure all coffee equipment, pastries showcases and deliveries are perfectly set up and ready to open, and stations are clean, stocked, and fully operational before service.
• Prepare all espresso-based drinks and teas to Flora’s high standards.
• Welcome guests with authentic Italian hospitality and guide them through our breakfast and brunch offerings.
• Take and serve orders efficiently, maintain clean tables, and assist with food presentation when needed.
• Handle POS and payments accurately.
• Support the team with setup, restocking, and closing duties.
• Maintain calm precision and care even during busy service.

Compensation & Culture
