Job Title: Travel Physical Therapist

Location: Delhi, NY 13753

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Type: Contract

Shift: Days | 3×12-hour shifts
Travel Pay Range- $68-$72 hourly

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Travel Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in a primarily outpatient setting, with occasional inpatient coverage as needed. The ideal candidate will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver effective interventions across orthopedic, neurological, chronic, and sports-related conditions. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population while ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, including 60-minute new patient assessments.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.

  • Deliver outpatient PT services for orthopedic, neurological, chronic pain, and sports injuries.

  • Provide occasional inpatient coverage in acute care and swing bed rehabilitation units.

  • Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and complete documentation in Epic EMR.

  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, e-stim, mechanical traction, paraffin, treadmills, UBE, and other exercise equipment.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and injury prevention.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to ensure coordinated care.

  • Maintain a full outpatient caseload (15 patient slots per 8-hour day; 30-minute sessions).

  • Follow all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

  • Provide occasional Saturday coverage as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active New York State Physical Therapy License

  • Current BLS certification

Preferred:

  • Outpatient physical therapy experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient schedule

  • Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills

  • Experience with orthopedic, neurological, chronic condition, and sports-related rehabilitation

  • Comfort providing occasional inpatient/acute care coverage

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education abilities
