Travel Pay Range- $68-$72 hourly
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Travel Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in a primarily outpatient setting, with occasional inpatient coverage as needed. The ideal candidate will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver effective interventions across orthopedic, neurological, chronic, and sports-related conditions. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population while ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including 60-minute new patient assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
Deliver outpatient PT services for orthopedic, neurological, chronic pain, and sports injuries.
Provide occasional inpatient coverage in acute care and swing bed rehabilitation units.
Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and complete documentation in Epic EMR.
Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, e-stim, mechanical traction, paraffin, treadmills, UBE, and other exercise equipment.
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and injury prevention.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain a full outpatient caseload (15 patient slots per 8-hour day; 30-minute sessions).
Follow all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Provide occasional Saturday coverage as required.
Qualifications
Required:
Active New York State Physical Therapy License
Current BLS certification
Preferred:
Outpatient physical therapy experience
Skills & Competencies
Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient schedule
Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills
Experience with orthopedic, neurological, chronic condition, and sports-related rehabilitation
Comfort providing occasional inpatient/acute care coverage
Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education abilities
