TAX PREPARER
Poughkeepsie, NY
Our client, a dynamic, professional accounting firm in the Tri-State area, is seeking 2 Tax Preparers to join their team. These roles focus on high-volume individual tax returns (mostly Form 1040s) and offer a supportive, professional working environment . Positions may be full-time or seasonal .  Competitive compensation based on experience
Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a tax preparer required
• Strong understanding of individual tax returns and related schedules
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns (primarily Form 1040)
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
• Maintain strict client confidentiality
• Communicate with clients regarding tax documents and questions
• Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume deadlines
