We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Lead Engineer who can guide enterprise-level database and analytics initiatives. This role requires someone with deep expertise in SAP HANA architecture, performance tuning, data modeling, and system integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and optimization of SAP HANA environments while supporting ongoing projects and business operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can lead solution design, mentor team members, and serve as a trusted advisor on SAP HANA best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, implementation, and management of SAP HANA systems across development, testing, and production environments.
Architect and optimize SAP HANA database solutions, including performance tuning and in-memory processing strategies.
Develop and maintain SAP HANA data models, views, stored procedures, and analytics objects.
Oversee system installations, upgrades, patches, and configuration adjustments.
Collaborate with SAP Basis, security, and application teams to ensure system stability and seamless integrations.
Monitor system performance metrics and proactively identify performance bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Ensure data governance, data accuracy, and optimal resource utilization.
Support project teams through requirements gathering, solution design reviews, and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot system issues and manage root-cause analysis for complex technical problems.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional team members.
12+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 7+ years focused on SAP HANA.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA architecture, design, deployment, and administration.
Expertise in HANA modeling, SQL scripting, calculation views, and performance optimization.
In-depth knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA integration, and related SAP ecosystems.
Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting using SAP tools such as HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit, and Solution Manager.
Strong understanding of Linux environments commonly used for SAP HANA implementations.
Experience in backup and recovery strategies, system replication, and high-availability configurations.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical discussions and architectural decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
