Your Impact 

As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in: 

  • Ensuring all plant equipment is always operating safely and efficiently. 

  • Championing a robust safety culture throughout the organization. 

  • Conducting timely repairs based on inspections and proactively addressing maintenance needs. 

  • Attending and contributing to plant maintenance and safety meetings. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and assist in electrical systems for plants and support facilities. 

  • Use a full range of tools and equipment—from hand and power tools to hoists, cranes, welding and testing instruments. 

  • Listen, observe, and troubleshoot equipment issues, collaborating with team members to find and implement solutions. 

  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery, replacing defective parts and ensuring precise, reliable operation. 

  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain plant machinery to maximize efficiency and productivity. 

  • Perform skilled welding and fabrication to repair or enhance equipment. 

  • Maintain inventory, order essential parts and supplies, and keep accurate maintenance records. 

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, operators, and customers—both in person and via radio/telephone. 

  • Assist fellow maintenance staff and help drive overall plant efficiency. 

  • Work with 480-volt electrical systems (computer batch panel experience a plus). 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, and welding tools and procedures. 

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for quality work. 

  • Physical capability to lift to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently; able to work at heights and in varied conditions. 

  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and variable shifts as needed. 

  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints; experience with computers and control panels a plus. 

  • Dedication to safety in all aspects of the job. 

 

Work Environment 

  • Mostly outdoor work with exposure to varying weather, noise, vibration, dust, and mechanical hazards. 

  • Expect a robust, fast-paced setting where your expertise protects both people and equipment. 

  • Personal protective equipment and ongoing safety training provided. 

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

· Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.

· Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.

· Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.

· Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

· Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.

· Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
