S&H Youth And Adult Services in Salisbury, NC is looking for a contract psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to join our strong team. We have 3 three locations, 714 S Main St Salisbury NC, 1 Buffalo Ave NW #210 Concord NC, and 5736 N Tryon #103 Charlotte NC. Our ideal candidate is experienced in prescribing both mental health and substance use medications, and great with documentation and communication.
Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, the PMHNP is responsible for medically directing patient care. PMHNP works closely with the other SHYAS clinicians to identify the appropriate level of care in addition to prescribing, administering, and reviewing medications and the side effects of drug therapy. PMHNP will also be responsible for monitoring and reconciling prescription medications that a patient takes to verify they are fulfilling the prescribed medication regimen and the combination of prescribed medications are safe. The PMHNP shall have a buprenorphine waiver and NC DEA and Control Substance license to effectively service patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
