Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - San Francisco, CA

Start Date: January 5, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend
Schedule: Full-time | 5×8s or 4×10s (day shifts, weekends required)

Position Overview

Join a dynamic oncology team providing high-quality, autonomous patient care in a consultative outpatient infusion setting. This position offers full-time, independent practice within a collaborative environment staffed by APPs, RNs, and MAs.

Work Details

• Setting: Outpatient Infusion Center, within a hospital-based oncology department
• Support Staff: APPs, RNs, and MAs
• Patient Volume: 8–10 adult patients per day
• Practice Model: APPs manage referrals from oncology providers, handle consults, and coordinate with nursing staff for new issues or complications.
• Responsibilities Include:
• Managing adverse reactions and direct admissions with the ED
• Overseeing oncology patients from diagnosis through treatment
• Collaborating with inpatient services as needed
• Procedures: No required procedures (line removals preferred)
• EMR: Epic

• Skills & Experience
• Strong clinical background in oncology patient management
• Experience managing complex oncology cases (BMT or hematology experience highly valued)
• Must have some inpatient or high-acuity experience — outpatient-only backgrounds will not be considered
• Infusion experience preferred

• Licensure: Active California NP license required
• DEA: California DEA (Schedule II) required
• Preferred: OCN or AOCNP
• Required: BLS

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $90.00 per hour
