Retirement Unlimited, Inc., a premier provider of Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, is seeking a Paralegal to join the Corporate Team in Roanoke, VA. TheParalegal supports the General Counsel and Legal Department by preparing reports/correspondence, drafting legal documents under the supervision of a lawyer, supporting the Companys contract management system, managing the discovery needs of in-house and outside counsel, obtaining medical and other records from RUI Communities, and securing the availability of witnesses for interviews/depositions. Provides legal support to the General CounselDraft contracts under the supervision of the General Counsel and using corporate templatesCoordinates with General Counsel on discovery and document requestsDraft correspondence on behalf of the legal teamMaintain the legal team's file management and contract management systemsMaintains the companys legal entities, files regulatory licenses under the supervision of the General Counsel, acts as the point of contact for general legal inquiries, and escalates as appropriate to the general counselUses attorney notes from board meeting to prepare drafts of corporate minutes Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with individuals and groups of diverse backgroundsStrong proofreading skills
