Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Special Education.
  • Masters' degree is preferred.
  • LBS1 certified in Illinois.


Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:
  • Hours: 8:30-430pm; M-F with a 30 minute duty-free lunch.
  • Dates: immediate opening - May 29, 2026.
  • Setting Middle School; one building.
  • Experience with students with Emotional Disabilities and/or Autism preferred.
  • In-person and full-time only.
  • Open communication with the parents is required.


Key Responsibilities: Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP GoalsSupport in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEPCreates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their studentsSet and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
