Job Title: Raw Materials Specialist

Location: Manhattan NY- onsite

Salary Range: $35 to $40/hr 

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team in a contract capacity. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and consistency of our raw materials, including fabrics and colors, across all brands. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team to maintain high standards in the production process.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• College degree in technical education, or equivalent experience
• Experience in fabric and color development
• Experience in development of apparel raw materials (knits, wovens, sweaters)
• Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in apparel raw materials at a similar brand
• Familiarity with textile technology and garment components
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills for managing both physical and digital records
• Ability to adapt to different category teams as needed

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of colors and fabrics, including garments and components
• Assist in technical development, pre-production, and cataloging of all fabrics and colors
• Visit company stores regularly to monitor fabric and color quality under store lighting conditions
• Coordinate with design teams and conduct daily meetings (approximately 4-6 per day)
• Manage daily email communications and follow-ups
• Maintain organizational and record-keeping tasks, both physical and digital
