We are seeking an experienced Cardiology PA or NP for a locum tenens opportunity in Asheville, North Carolina. This role offers 12-hour day shifts with a focus on inpatient cardiology care and procedural support.
Position Details:
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7 days per week (mostly daytime coverage)
Setting: Inpatient hospital-based cardiology service line
EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities:
Round daily on all levels of care for patients admitted to or seen in consultation by the general cardiology service line
Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, new consult notes, and discharge summaries
Order medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures as indicated
Perform procedures in the ICU when necessary, including:
Arterial line placement
Central line placement
Cardioversion
Perform new consults in collaboration with the attending cardiologist
Requirements:
Active North Carolina PA or NP license
Active North Carolina DEA
Minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience in an inpatient setting
Proficient with Cerner EMR preferred
