THE OPPORTUNITY:

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

 

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.

 

PROGRAM DETAILS:

An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.

 

2026 PROGRAM DATES:

• June 1 - August 14, 2026
• Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
• June 15 – 19, 2026: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
• June 29 – July 3, 2026: Week off for Summer Shutdown

 

 

YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...

As a Human Resources Intern at Sephora, you will be immersed in the HR function, gaining practical experience through direct involvement in key processes. Your role will focus on enhancing HR efficiency and effectiveness, while also providing support to our local team by addressing HR-related inquiries and issues.

 

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

• Research & Analysis:
• Conducting research on HR-related topics and trends.
• Analyzing HR data to identify areas for improvement.

• Event Planning:
• Assisting in the planning and execution of company events and employee engagement activities.
• Employee Inquiry Support:
• Responding to basic employee questions and concerns.
• Directing employees to the appropriate HR resources.
• Employee Record Management:
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee files and databases.
• Managing HR data and generating reports.
• Benefits & Payroll Support:
• Assisting with benefits enrollment and administration.
• Supporting payroll processing tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Confidentiality: HR interns handle sensitive employee information, so discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
• Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance is important when representing the HR department.
• Initiative: A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges are highly valued.
• Teamwork: HR interns often work as part of a team, so collaboration and a positive attitude are essential.
• Organizational Skills: HR interns need to be highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is generally expected. Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) is a plus.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  

• Graduating in 2026 or 2027 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
• Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time  
• Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.  
• Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
• Available from June 1 - August 14, 2026
• Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA  

 

 

The target hourly pay for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This job will be posted for a minimum of 5 days.
