We are seeking a GSW - Software Engineer Smallworld to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining GIS solutions using the Smallworld Product Suite . The ideal candidate will have experience in Magik programming, PNI/Electric Office, database management, and GIS integration with a passion for delivering robust, scalable GIS solutions for utility customers.

Job Title: GSW - Software Engineer Smallworld
Location: Melbourne, FL 32904 or Bellevue, WA 98004 (Preferred On-site, open to Remote)
Duration: 6 Months

As a GSW - Software Engineer Smallworld , you will be responsible for providing end-to-end GIS software solutions using the Smallworld suite of products . You will develop and implement asset mapping and application features, customize Smallworld products according to customer and regulatory requirements, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of GIS applications.

• Analyze requirements, design, code, implement, and test Smallworld GIS applications.

• Provide hands-on development using Magik and Smallworld tools like PNI, Core SW4/SW5, EO, GDO, GTO, GSS, GSA, DM, MES, NRM, K8, SWMFS DBA, VMDS.

• Customize solutions for utility customers including local regulatory and third-party integrations.

• Perform data modeling, system configuration, and database management using SQL and Oracle .

• Document all development processes, maintain version control, and provide continuous updates to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with utility clients and internal teams for requirements gathering, project delivery, and issue resolution.

• Ensure solutions meet Smallworld product suite standards and deliver high-quality GIS solutions.

• Assist in future expansion activities and integration projects involving GIS applications.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers on Smallworld best practices .

• Serve as a key contributor in ensuring the success of GIS deployments and reliability of Smallworld applications.

• Proficiency in the latest Smallworld Product Suite , including PNI/Electric Office.

• Hands-on experience with Magik programming .

• Strong understanding of GIS application development and customization.

• Experience with database management ( SQL, Oracle ) and application integration.

• Knowledge of SDLC processes, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

• B.E./B.Tech, MCA, or M.S. (IT) or similar degree from a reputed institution
