We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered clinical workflows that directly enhance the healthcare experience for both providers and patients. This role blends full-stack engineering, AI workflow orchestration, and cross-functional leadership to transform complex technical challenges into scalable, observable, and cost-efficient solutions. You will guide technical decision-making, standardize engineering practices, and ensure delivery excellence across multiple teams. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will contribute hands-on code daily while driving clarity, accountability, and innovation. Accountabilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of AI-driven clinical workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Act as both technical orchestrator and hands-on engineer, writing production-quality code and guiding architectural decisions.
• Facilitate cross-functional design sessions and drive alignment between engineering, AI, product, and operations teams.
• Standardize workflow design principles and implementation practices across the organization.
• Ensure strong execution through clear prioritization, accountability, and effective project management.
• Oversee observability, cost management, and performance monitoring across cloud-based systems.
• Support continuous improvement through documentation, process refinement, and high-quality engineering practices.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of hands-on software development combined with technical leadership or TPM responsibilities.
• Strong coding experience with TypeScript/React and Python/Node.js, including familiarity with REST, gRPC, async processing, and streaming outputs.
• Proven expertise with Azure services such as Functions Durable, Container Apps, Queues/Event Grid, KEDA, Blob Storage, AI Search, SQL/CosmosDB, Redis, and observability tools like App Insights or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in AI/ML workflow orchestration, including multi-model management, RAG pipelines, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and tool-calling frameworks.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Git workflows, and asynchronous remote communication; ability to collaborate in US shift hours.
• Preferred knowledge of healthcare data models (e.g., FHIR) and regulatory standards such as HIPAA or SOC 2/HITRUST.
• Exceptional communication skills to lead design sessions, align technical and non-technical teams, and resolve complex challenges.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and results-oriented mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and high-pressure environments.
