Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial data. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the finance team to drive corporate goals, manage cash flow, oversee capital deployment, and optimize expense management. This leadership role is key in shaping the company’s financial strategy, forecasting, and reporting within a fast-growing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the financial reporting function in compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior executives to set departmental goals and analyze budget and trend variances.

  • Support the CFO in producing board-level financial packages, presentations, and forecasts.

  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of financial statements, including quarterly and annual reports.

  • Enhance and expand financial reporting and reconciliation systems (e.g., Planful, Blackline) to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Drive implementation of new partners and sales channels.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and ensure compliance across departments.

  • Collaborate with auditors (internal and external) and assist in fulfilling audit requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or CPA preferred).

  • Proven FP&A management experience in a fast-paced environment; private equity background is a plus.

  • Prior experience in insurance-related accounting or working with insurance clients preferred.

  • Background in Big 4 accounting, consulting, or banking is advantageous.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of reporting systems and tools.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
