Location: Wellesley, MASchedule: Part timePay: $22.00 an hour About Mature Caregivers Mature Caregivers is a trusted in-home care company that hires experienced, reliable, and compassionate caregivers—many age 50+—to support seniors and adults in need. We help clients live safely and comfortably at home with services ranging from companionship to 24/7 care. Position Overview Companion 8 hours/week Wellesley, MA $22/hour Mature Caregivers is seeking a male companion who will enjoy providing one to one engagement to a 66 year old male client in Wellesley. The client lives with his wife who will spend time running errands while companion is with her husband. The client has Parkinson's Disease and mild to moderate cognitive impairment. He is very pleasant, but it can be difficult for him to engage in and initiate conversation. The companion is expected to spend time with client doing things he enjoys such as taking a walk, going for a car ride, visiting the senior center or library, going out for lunch, or watching TV or movie at the house. The client enjoys sports of all kinds and does like to stay active. The priority shift is weekly on Fridays 8:15am-12:15pm and possibly Tuesdays (same or similar schedule). The request is for a male companion who has similar interests and who would enjoy some of the listed activities. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with Parkinson’s Disease and/or working with individuals with cognitive impairments. The pay rate is $22/hour.

What You’ll Do

• Accompany clients on errands such as grocery shopping, doctor visits, pharmacy trips, and social activities
• Provide safe and reliable transportation assistance
• Offer companionship and conversation to make outings enjoyable and stress-free
• Assist with light tasks during outings, such as carrying groceries or helping with mobility needs
• Ensure clients feel comfortable, respected, and supported throughout their day

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, patient, and friendly personality
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to assist clients with walking or light mobility support if needed
• Previous caregiving, customer service, or companion care experience is a plus (but not required)
