The CNC Machinist III performs all operations involved with setting up equipment and fixtures in the machining center. The CNC Machinist III will typically be assigned to 5+ axis and/or complex machines such as mill-turns and/or complex lathes.

2nd Shift: 4:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Monday - Thursday; 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Friday

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $33.50 to $44.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Shift Differential: Employees assigned to the 2nd shift are eligible for a 20% shift differential.

Essential Functions

• Sets up, adjusts, checks out programming and operates CNC machines to perform a series of progressive machining operations requiring a high degree of skill.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Perform daily maintenance of machines as required.

• Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously.

• Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe work area.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• 5 years of related experience

• Ability to perform metric conversions

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school

• 10 or more years of related experience

• Stoop by bending body downward and forward requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles

• Kneel by bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s)

• Crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine

• Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touch

• Hear by perceiving the nature of sounds by ear

• Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus

• Identify and distinguish colors
