Job Description

Join Eaton as a CNC Brake Press Forming Technician

A day in the life

  • Begin your shift geared up with proper PPE and review blueprints, drawings, and job instructions.
  • Set up the press brake: select and install tooling, program or adjust parameters, and run the first-piece to specification.
  • Inspect using measurement gauges; complete first-piece approvals and document routing tags and scrap tickets as needed.
  • Run production, making fine adjustments to machine, tooling, and wheels to hold tolerances.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
  • Assemble standard and engineered-to-order components using hand and pneumatic tools, and move WIP to the next operation.
  • Partner with teammates, flex to other departments as needed, and maintain an orderly, safe work area.

  • High school diploma/GED (accredited)
  • At least 1 year of press brake machine experience
  • Strong oral and written communication; able to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings
  • Comfort with material handling carts (push/pull 50 lbs) and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to learn, cross-train, and support adjacent processes; excellent housekeeping habits
  • No relocation provided; candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic limitation)
