We are seeking a Chief Engineer to lead our hotel’s engineering and maintenance team. This position is both hands-on and management focused — the Chief Engineer will perform technical maintenance tasks while also overseeing a small team, managing projects, and driving preventive maintenance programs. What We Offer * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (after 60 days) * Vacation hours (after 90 days) * Sick time (after 90 days) * Marriott hotel travel discounts What You’ll Do * Lead, train, and supervise a small maintenance team * Assign daily tasks and hold team accountable to performance and safety standards * Perform hands-on maintenance and preventative work in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) * Manage capital projects and coordinate with outside vendors/contractors * Maintain the pool, fitness center, and all public spaces to brand standards * Ensure grounds, parking lot, sidewalks, and exterior areas are clean and safe (trash, landscaping, snow/ice removal) * Implement a preventive maintenance program and keep accurate records * Partner with Housekeeping and Front Office to resolve guest concerns quickly * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment What We’re Looking For * High School Diploma/GED required; technical training or certification preferred * 3–5 years of maintenance/engineering experience (hotel experience a plus) * 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems * Hands-on, motivated, and able to balance technical work with leadership * Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical work Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
