Job Description

Required Qualifications
Applicant must have creative design skills and demonstrable knowledge of composition design as well as a working knowledge of the Adobe Suite i.e. Adobe InDesign Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop. Student will be required to take publications to the copy center or printing services for print. The applicant must be outgoing and willing to help plan activities and events. Prefer applicants with awarded work-study status (please be prepared to provide documentation of work-study status).

Preferred Qualifications
Self-motivated Knowledge of AP Style Organized and detail oriented Drive to learn about the industry Responsibilities: Designing clear and engaging graphics for print (including fliers posters brochures banners) Adapting print designs for web applications (including social media graphics web banners and digital graphics for the CR & Davis Digital Signage) Following WSU branding standards Completing designs by assigned due dates Continued training through personalized training programs via LinkedIn Learning Provide a safe environment and safe activities for all participants (Leadership and Management) Provide care in emergency situations when necessary (Critical Thinking) Maintain a professional friendly attentive presence Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of all facilities Educate observe and enforce all facility rules in a friendly and helpful manner (Critical Thinking) Educate participants on benefits of fitness and wellness Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications Attend mandatory monthly meetings orientations and staff development workshops (Responsibility and Accountability) Read understand and abide by all employee policies and procedures stated in the Campus Recreation student employee manual (Responsibility and Accountability) Provide excellent customer service that encourages a climate of mutual respect Be a team player with your Supervisor peers as well as other Campus Recreation employees and communicate in a positive professional manner (Interpersonal Communication) Be knowledgeable of Campus Recreation programs and services so that you may serve as a positive socially conscious advocate of Campus Recreation (Civic Engagement) Participate in bi-annual evaluation process to reflect on work performance professional skills and set personal and professional goals for the future (Interpersonal Competence) Perform other duties as specified by the Marketing Coordinator and/or Campus Recreation Director and Associate Director
