**Job Title: A&P Mechanic - 4 Month contract , work expected to go until end of March 2026. Must be able to start in 1-2 weeks.** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to perform repairs on a fleet of Dash-8, Dornier 228, and Casa 212 aircraft. You will be involved in heavy checks and repairs during the winter season for these multi-mission aircraft. The role requires working up to 5 days a week with 12-hour shifts. The position involves reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, completing task cards, and consulting with managers and engineers on workflow. **Responsibilities** + Perform repairs and maintenance on Dash-8, Dornier 228, and Casa 212 aircraft. + Conduct heavy checks and repairs during the winter season. + Read and interpret blueprints to execute maintenance tasks. + Utilize hand and power tools effectively. + Complete task cards accurately and efficiently. + Collaborate with managers and engineers to ensure optimal workflow. **Essential Skills** + 4+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance. + Proficient in repair and maintenance of aircraft. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience in troubleshooting and line maintenance. + Must have a minimum of hand tools. + Eligibility for FAA Safety-Sensitive hire. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with regional or GA aircraft is highly preferred. + Familiarity with a variety of airframes and environments. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers competitive pay in an affordable location and the potential for a long-term role, including opportunities for OCONUS deployment. The role provides a dynamic work environment with the possibility of increasing hours as the season progresses. **Work Environment** The position operates on day shifts, with the option of working from 0630 - 1700 Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of adding a Friday, or a standard schedule of 0800 - 1700 Monday to Friday. The work is conducted on-site in Sheridan, with the potential for additional hours, particularly in January, increasing to 10-20 hours per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Billings, MT. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
