Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global Business School (BETGBS) conducted a seminar to discuss the Union Budget on Thursday 11th July 2019 at the institute’s hall. Satish Mehta, noted Chartered Accountant, Mahaveer Upadhye, Industrialist and Rishikesh Bahadur Desai- Principal Correspondent of The Hindu were the panelists. Prof. Radhika K.R. welcomed the guests and coordinated the seminar. Dr. Prasad Daddikar, Director, BETGBS, presented the welcome address and spoke about the significance of the Union Budget. Satish Mehta lauded the budget’s provisions especially the benefits to startups, pre filled returns and the linking of Aadhar to the IT returns. Mahaveer Upadhye presented a birds-eye-view of the various provisions in the budget, focusing also on the government’s various efforts. Rishikesh Bahadur Desai presented the common man’s perspective as he said that democracy flourishes only when there is expression of opinion and dissent. MBA IV semester students Laxman Goral, Pooja Sankannavar and Prajakta Desai introduced the guests. BETGBS has been organizing Budget Seminars for the past 10 years that gives students an in depth analysis of the Union Budget. Students from BCom, BCA, MBA, heads of institutions and faculty were present in large numbers for the seminar.
