Shri GopalkrishnaSanatangi, Regional Officer Karnataka State Pollution control Board addressed MBA students of Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global business School on plastic waste awareness, its management and role of every citizen in making Clean India. He spoke with students on various aspects associated with government initiative of banning single use plastic in India. His address stressed upon hazardous effects of plastic on overall environment. As per Central Pollution Control Board report plastic waste generation in 60 major cities and estimated plastic waste generation in India is 4059 TPD and 25940 TPD respectively he said. He presented the Karnataka government’s various initiatives and programs like short films, wall paintings, TV shows and training programsetcto create awareness on plastic ban among the public. On the final note he said “It is every citizen’s responsible behavior adds to creating healthier social environment”.
